Early-stage VC firm Antler to invest US$100m in South-east Asia startups by 2025
EARLY-STAGE venture capital firm Antler on Friday (May 20) committed to invest US$100 million in South-east Asia early-stage startups by 2025.
Since its 2018 launch, Antler has invested US$25 million in over 127 South-east Asian startups.
It also runs a programme to build startups by identifying a group of aspiring entrepreneurs, matching them to form a team, and funding the team while supporting their product development and scaling efforts.
The new US$100 million commitment is expected to fuel the expansion of more than 300 new companies in South-east Asia over the next 4 years, said Antler.
Previous companies Antler have invested in include Singapore-based technology refurbisher and reseller Reebelo, Vietnam property technology startup Homebase and customer-to-customer financial software solutions company Xanpool.
Jussi Salovaara, co-founder and Asia managing partner of Antler said, “South-east Asia is a breeding ground for innovative startups, and we want to give exceptional founders the investment, support and expertise they need to realise their visions from the earliest stages.”
