A MISSION to increase the safety of cyclists on the road, which began as a Kickstarter campaign in 2015, raised over US$800,000. Today, it has support from Apple and financial backing from Hong Kong-based funds and established venture capital firms.
Lumos, a startup based in Singapore, builds helmets embedded with LEDs that automatically light up when a cyclist is about to turn or brake. The movements are detected by a built-in accelerometer.
