58% of voters participated in Iran elections: ministry

[TEHRAN] More than 58 per cent of voters cast ballots in Iran's elections, a spokesman for the interior ministry told state television on Saturday.
Just over 32 million out of 55 million vote took part in Friday's polls, Hossein-Ali Amiri said. The preliminary figure is lower than the 2012 parliamentary elections, when 64.2 per cent participated.
