A murky path towards the UK premiership?

None in the running to be Tory leader has fresh ideas to push through Brexit.

A LACKLUSTRE Tory leader debate on Tuesday revealed that none of the five candidates still in the running to be the UK's next prime minister has fresh ideas to get Brexit through Parliament.

The ongoing uncertainty has worried business leaders too. Warren East, chief executive officer of Rolls-Royce, said that the possibility of a "no-deal" Brexit has affected business confidence in the UK.

Former foreign secretary Boris Johnson, the favourite to win the race by a wide margin, insisted that the UK would have to leave the European Union (EU) by the Oct 31 deadline.
