ADB president Nakao praises Indonesia's fuel subsidy cut

INDONESIA'S decision to cut fuel subsidies in the wake of the oil-price plunge will free up financial resources for infrastructure building and other development priorities, says Asian Development Bank (ADB) president Takehiko Nakao.

He was speaking in Jakarta on Tuesday prior to a meeting with Indonesian president Joko Widodo, vice-president Jusuf Kalla and other senior officials, to discuss the government's economic reform programme and to examine possible areas for further cooperation between the ADB and Indonesia
