PM Lee congratulates Trump, says Singapore will continue strong ties with US
[SINGAPORE] Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has congratulated US President-elect Donald Trump after the real estate tycoon defeated his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in a stunning upset.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Mr Lee said US voters have elected a president whom they feel best represents them.
"Singapore fully respects their decision. We will continue to work together with the US to cultivate our strong ties," he wrote.
