APAC firms have shown 'remarkable resilience' amid pandemic: Vodafone

THE new Covid-19 variant will amplify the differences in economic performances, but businesses in Asia-Pacific (APAC), especially the agile and technologically inclined, will be better-equipped to weather these challenges.

In an interview with The Business Times, Dan Beevers, president, Asia-Pacific, Vodafone Business, said the resilience exhibited by businesses in the region meant they are likely to face the new challenge head-on as well.

"Most APAC businesses are pleased with their business continuity plans, with 80 per cent of them saying they've coped 'quite well' (50 per cent) or 'very well' (30 per cent).

"This trend is even more pronounced in Singapore businesses: 85 per cent of local businesses felt they have coped well in terms of business continuity, and 84 per cent also reported that their business continuity plan had worked well …
