Asia again emerges as primary global growth engine: ADB report
Tokyo
ASIA is helping to stabilise growth in the global economy - albeit at relatively low levels - as growth in the region's leading economies remains steady while that in major advanced economies is easing, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) said on Tuesday in the latest update to its Asian Development Outlook.
But while taking an overall positive view of Asia's short to medium-term economic prospects, especially those of India and China, the report says that "risks to the region's outlook remain tilted to the downside", and with the external environment still fragile.
