Asia-Pacific pips North America in high net worth individuals
The region is set to be No 1 also in terms of wealth before the year ends, says World Wealth Report 2015

THE Asia-Pacific region is now home to the most number of high net worth individuals (HNWIs), overtaking North America for pole position, says the World Wealth Report 2015.
In 2014, the number of HNWIs in the Asia-Pacific grew at the fastest rate of 9 per cent to 4.69 million, while the number rose to 4.68 million in North America and to four million in Europe.
Before the end of the year, the Asia-Pacific is expected to lead in terms of HNWI wealth even though it is now second to North America, the report by Capgemini and RBC Wealth Management says.
