Bayer, EDB to fund S$30m regional disease research

PHARMACEUTICAL giant Bayer HealthCare and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) will jointly foster translational and clinical research for diseases prevalent in Asia over the next five years, they announced at a launch ceremony on Wednesday.
EDB will facilitate collaborations between Bayer HealthCare and its partner institutes - including SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre and National University Health System (NUHS) - to increase existing research efforts in cancer treatment, and expand into the research of heart and eye diseases.
