Board changes at Competition Commission of Singapore, JTC and Singapore Tourism Board
BOARD appointment changes at the Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS), JTC Corporation (JTC) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB) were announced by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) on Friday.
At CCS, current board member Aubeck Kam was appointed chairman of the board. Lam Chuan Leong will be stepping down as chairman of CCS after 10 years at the helm.
Two new members were also appointed to the board - Tan Kok Kiong, Andrew, chief executive, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore; and Chionh Sze Chyi, Mavis, chief prosecutor, Attorney-General's Chambers.
Board member Aedit bin Abdullah, S.C. resigned after he was appointed as a judicial commissioner of the Supreme Court.
Over at JTC, three new board members were appointed. They comprise Olivier Lim, former group deputy chief executive officer, CapitaLand; Guy Harvey-Samuel, chief executive officer, HSBC Singapore; and Ng Lang, chief executive officer, URA.
MTI has re-appointed Loo Choon Yong as the chairman of JTC. Danny Teoh, former managing partner of KPMG; Tan Chee Meng, deputy managing partner, Wong Partnership; and Lee Tong Yang, Augustin, deputy secretary, MOM were also re-appointed as board members.
Ong Choon Fah, chief operating officer, SEA, regional head (SEA), executive director & head, consulting & research, at DTZ will step down on the completion of her term at end-December.
Separately, four members have been re-appointed to the board of STB. They comprise Mike Barclay, chief executive officer, Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC); Deborah Ong, assurance partner and risk & quality leader, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Singapore; Jessica Tan, managing director, Microsoft Operations; and Christina Ong, partner, Allen & Gledhill.
The appointments will take effect from Jan 1.
