BOJ not in hurry to go deeper into negative rates
Kuroda also seen adopting a more relaxed attitude towards achieving the central bank's 2% inflation target
Tokyo
BANK of Japan governor Haruhiko Kuroda appeared to suggest in a speech on Monday that the central bank will not be in a hurry to push interest rates down further into negative territory, dampening speculation that the BOJ could move again in this direction as early as next week.
Speaking at a forum in Tokyo, Mr Kuroda said that Japan's economic fundamentals are strong and pledged that the BOJ will carefully monitor how its negative rate policy would "filter through" to the real economy.
