Cabinet reshuffle: Abe signals priorities beyond Abenomics

IN A Cabinet reshuffle that appeared aimed primarily at ensuring the success of his Abenomics policies, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe also announced key appointments on Wednesday that hinted at his intention to press ahead with constitutional revision.
They also indicated that the Japanese leader possibly intends to run for a further term in office as head of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) when his current one expires in 2018.
