Capacity limits cut for events, attractions, libraries to curb spread of Covid-19
CAPACITY limits for events, attractions, shopping malls and libraries will be reduced from May 16 through June 13, to curb a resurgence in community cases of Covid-19.
MICE events and live performances
The maximum number of attendees allowed with pre-event testing will be reduced to 100, from 250.
Without pre-event testing, only up to 50 people will be allowed.
Unmasking is not allowed for speakers and performers, and there should be no singing or playing of instruments that require intentional expulsion of air, such as wind and brass instruments.
Cinemas

Attendance will be capped at 100 people, with pre-event testing implemented, down from 250.
Without testing, only up to 50 people are allowed.
The prevailing group size of two persons applies, and food and beverages cannot be sold or consumed in the cinema.
Attractions and shows
The operating capacity of attractions that have received the Ministry of Trade and Industry's prior approval will be reduced to 25 per cent, from 50 per cent currently.
Indoor and outdoor shows may proceed with up to 100 people with pre-event testing, and up to 50 people without testing.
Shopping malls and showrooms
The occupancy limits for shopping malls and showrooms will be further tightened from the current requirement of 10 square metres (sqm) per person of gross floor area to 16sqm per person.
Odd and even date entry restrictions on Sundays for popular malls will continue.
Museums and public libraries
Operating capacities will be reduced to 25 per cent, from 50 per cent.
Wedding receptions and solemnisations
In line with the temporary ban on dining in in F&B establishments, wedding receptions will not be allowed.
Marriage solemnisations may continue for up to 100 participants with pre-event testing, and 50 participants without.
Congregational and other worship services
Such services may continue but capped at 100 attendees at any one time with pre-event testing implemented, down from 250.
Only up to 50 attendees at any one time will be allowed without pre-event testing.
To further mitigate the risk of spread through aerosol transmissions, religious workers and all other participants must wear their masks at all times.
Live singing and playing of wind instruments is suspended.
Funerals
The cap for attendees applicable to all days of the funeral, including the burial or cremation, is 20 people, down from 30.
