China economy shows signs of stabilising in Oct, but pressures remain

CHINA'S economy has shown timid signs it may be bottoming out after the pace of growth dipped in the third quarter with infrastructure and industrial output both picking up in October.
Industrial production beat expectations growing by 5.9 per cent in October, while fixed-asset investment rose 5.7 per cent in the 10 months last month after reporting its worst performance in decades in September.
