China tourists continue to stay away from Malaysia

Double-digit declines seen in arrivals in the past three months, one year after disappearance of Flight MH370

BILATERAL ties between Malaysia and China have probably never been quite as strong but the Chinese tourist is proving more leery.

A year after the disappearance of Flight MH370 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, the Chinese remain wary of visiting Malaysia with the China sector continuing to experience a double-digit decline last month, according to the country's main airport operator.
