[BEIJING] China's exports are expected to grow this year while the pace of decline in imports will ease in the latter part of the year, state media quoted the commerce ministry as saying on Thursday.

China will study new measures to support the trade sector as the sector still faces increasing downward pressure, the official Xinhua news agency quoted Assistant Minister Zhang Ji as saying.

Chinese exports in July tumbled 8.3 per cent from a year earlier, their biggest drop in four months and imports fell 8.1 per cent from a year ago.
