CHINA'S economy chalked its slowest growth rate in over three decades as it faces a structural slowdown as well as an ongoing trade war with its main trading partner, the United States.
The world's second-largest economy expanded 6.6 per cent in 2018, down slightly from the 6.7 per cent growth in the previous year. Growth for the fourth quarter of 2018 came in at 6.4 per cent, the slowest quarterly growth since the global financial crisis a decade ago.
