China's Q2 GDP growth flat at 7.0% y-o-y: govt

[BEIJING] China's economy expanded 7.0 per cent year-on-year in the second quarter, official data showed Wednesday, as a slowdown in investment and trade weighed on growth in the world's second-largest economy.
The figure announced by the National Bureau of Statistics matched the 7.0 per cent expansion in the first three months of this year, and exceeded the median forecast of 6.9 per cent in an AFP survey of 14 economists.
