LABOUR statistics for Singapore citizens track closely those for all residents - that is, citizens and permanent residents (PRs) - according to an occasional paper released by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) on Thursday.
For instance, coming down from 4.7 per cent in 2009, the seasonally adjusted citizen unemployment rate ranged from 2.9 per cent to 3.3 per cent in the period from 2010 to 2019, averaging 3.1 per cent.
