A MUCH steadier sterling and the UK stock market ignored the resignation of UK Independence Party (UKIP) leader Nigel Farage, the original instigator of Britain's exit from the European Union (EU) or Brexit.
Mr Farage said he resigned because he had "done my bit", but that the party's "greatest potential" lay in attracting Labour voters, adding that he would not be backing any particular candidate to replace him.
