Deutsche Boerse regrets LSE move, still harbours global ambitions

GERMAN stock-market operator Deutsche Boerse said on Wednesday it still has ambitions to become a global player, even if a planned merger with the London Stock Exchange (LSE) looks set to unravel.
Speaking to a news conference in Frankfurt, Deutsche Boerse chief executive Carsten Kengeter said he "regretted" the LSE's refusal to meet one of the key demands made by Brussels for the merger to go ahead.
