THE Enhanced Auditor Reporting (EAR) requirement is less than a year into implementation, and already, it has yielded substantial benefits, a study has found.
The study, the findings of which were unveiled at the Singapore Accountancy and Audit Convention 2017 on Tuesday, analysed the enhanced auditor reports and annual reports of 180 entities listed on the Singapore Exchange, and sought the views of more than 270 audit committees and investors.
