REGARDLESS of whether the UK remains or leaves the European Union, both parties will seek mutually beneficial trade and investment deals.
Emotion and spin are spoiling genuine debate in the UK referendum, critics complain. Unsurprisingly, the "leave" campaign is focusing on fears of unfettered migration into Britain. The "in" campaign, on the other hand, is concentrating on the strategy of fear stating that it will be a "leap in the dark" if Britain goes it alone.
The economic facts, however, show that there would be initial uncertainty if the British people decide to leave the EU, but there would be a two year period in which both sides would come to the best possible trade and investment deals.
