[BRUSSELS] EU leaders have asked ministers to consider a new wave of sanctions against Russia in the wake of a new military campaign by pro-Moscow rebels in eastern Ukraine, a statement said Tuesday.
The European Union's 28 heads of government asked the bloc's foreign ministers, who meet in Brussels on Thursday, "to assess the situation and to consider any appropriate action, in particular on further restrictive measures".
