Euro advances 0.3% against dollar as swiss franc strengthens

[LONDON] The euro advanced against the dollar, erasing a decline that pushed it to the lowest in a week as the Swiss franc gained versus all of 16 major peers.
The 19-member currency gained 0.3 per cent to US$1.1034 at 9.37 am London time. It earlier dropped 0.3 per cent to US$1.0966, the weakest level since July 7. The franc climbed 0.7 per cent to 94.36 centimes per dollar and increased 0.4 per cent to 1.0411 per euro.
