Eurozone consumer confidence rises to -16.9 in April

EUROZONE consumer confidence rose by 1.8 points in April from the March number, figures released on Thursday (Apr 21) showed.
The European Commission said a flash estimate showed eurozone consumer morale improved to -16.9 this month from -18.7 in March.
Economists polled by Reuters had expected a fall to -20.0.
In the European Union as a whole, consumer sentiment rose by 2.0 points to -17.6. REUTERS
