    JOKO Widodo's inauguration as Indonesia's new president lacks the ebullience of his July election victory.

    Though the former furniture businessman, popularly known as Jokowi, is expected to push ahead with an early and decisive pruning of wasteful energy subsidies, fears of a hamstrung presidency are already beginning to surface. The reason is the unexpected durability of the coalition cobbled together by Jokowi's defeated rival, ex-general Prabowo Subianto.
