BOSSES whose foreign staff just came back from mainland China must inform the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), according to the authorities' latest advisory, as the world fights to contain the novel coronavirus spreading from Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province.

Employers must also delay the return of long-term pass workers "as far as possible until further notice" if they hold Hubei-issued passports or have been to Hubei in the last 14 days, and are still abroad, under new guidelines issued on Wednesday. Otherwise, anyone coming back from Hubei will have to be quarantined.
