France's central bank to open Asian office in Singapore next year

THE central bank of France, Banque de France (BDF), will open an Asian office in Singapore early next year, making this its second office abroad after New York, it said in a joint statement with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) on Tuesday.
BDF's office in Singapore aims to boost monitoring of Asian economies and financial systems, as well as forge closer relations with central banks and financial authorities in the Asia-Oceania region.
