Fully-vaccinated travellers from Australia, Canada, South Korea and 5 other nations can opt for 14-day SHN at home
FROM 11.59pm on Aug 20, all fully vaccinated travellers from eight countries - Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Italy, Norway, South Korea and Switzerland - can apply to opt out of dedicated stay-home notice (SHN) facilities when they arrive in Singapore.
They can serve their 14-day SHN at their place of residence or other suitable accommodation if they fulfil certain criteria, the Ministry of Health said in a press release on Friday.

These applications will be considered if the vaccinated traveller has remained in those countries in the last consecutive 21 days before arrival in Singapore. He or she must also occupy their chosen accommodation alone, or only with other household members who are also vaccinated and serving SHN with the same travel history and duration of SHN.
All other travellers from those eight countries must continue to serve their SHN in a dedicated SHN facility, said MOH.
The ministry added that the list of countries will be updated from time to time depending on the public health risk assessment, and all travellers should check the SafeTravel website for updates to Singapore's border measures.

Separately, it was also announced that from Aug 10, the Ministry of Manpower will resume entry approvals for work-pass holders and their dependants with travel history to higher risk countries and regions.
Eligible work pass holders and their dependants must be fully vaccinated before arrival in Singapore, and they will also be subjected to the prevailing health protocols in Singapore, said MOH.
