[BERLIN] German exports to Russia tumbled by 25.5 per cent in 2015 to 21 billion euros while shipments to Ukraine dropped by 18 per cent, Germany's Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations said on Friday.
Chairman Wolfgang Buechele said the committee hoped economic sanctions imposed against Russia over the Ukraine stand-off would start to be phased out in summer 2016 at the latest.
