THE statutory board that will spearhead the government's digital and data strategy was launched on Friday, with an ambit that entails transforming the way public services are delivered on Singapore's journey to becoming a Smart Nation.
The scope of the Government Technology Agency, or GovTech, will include being the guardian of the security and resiliency of government infocomm technology (ICT) systems, but it will also partner with public agencies, industry and citizens to come up with engineering solutions that meet the needs of these groups, using data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
