India's move towards better fiscal management key for rating agencies: S&P

[MUMBAI] How the Indian government achieves better fiscal management could be more important as the fiscal deficit number alone would not give a true picture of the country's fiscal consolidation, an analyst at rating agency Standard and Poor's said on Friday.
Takahira Ogawa, a director sovereign ratings at S&P, also said the current government is mindful of the quality of fiscal consolidation.
