India's star burns bright while other emerging markets' dim

INDIA'S economic star is very much in the ascendant as China's growth pace slows and the remaining so-called BRICS (Brazil, Russia and South Africa) are either in recession or flirting with it. And key global economic figures made it clear at the weekend that things are expected to stay in India's favour in 2016 and beyond.
"I believe India is likely to remain the fastest-growing large economy this year given the prudent macroeconomic management and the government's efforts to improve the investment climate," Asian Development Bank (ADB) president Takehiko Nakao told Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Mumbai,
