[JAKARTA] Indonesia's central bank expects inflation in July to ease slightly to 7.13 per cent from a year earlier, from 7.26 per cent in June, its governor told reporters on Friday.

Governor Agus Martowardojo said the level was relatively manageable given that July was a holiday season. The government will monitor the supply and distribution of food to guard against higher prices from the effects of the El Nino weather pattern, he added.

Consumer prices probably rose 0.8 per cent on a monthly basis, he said.
