Indonesia posts trade surplus in March; exports, imports fall

[JAKARTA] Indonesia posted a fourth straight monthly trade surplus of US$1.13 billion in March, its biggest trade surplus since December 2013, the statistics bureau said on Wednesday.
Analysts in a Reuters poll had expected a surplus of US$620 million.
Exports in March were US$13.71 million, down by 9.75 per cent from a year earlier. Imports contracted 13.39 per cent to US$12.58 million from a year ago.
