Indonesia reports a US$318 million trade deficit in August

[JAKARTA] Indonesia had a trade deficit of US$318.1 million in August, the statistics bureau said on Wednesday, compared to a Reuters poll of US$170 million surplus.
Exports were about US$14.48 billion in August, up 10.63 per cent from a year earlier.
August imports totalled about US$14.79 billion, an increase of 13.69 per cent from a year earlier.
In July, there was a revised US$42.4 million surplus. - Reuters
