Indonesia's hosting of G20 is 'strategically important' for global economy, says finance minister

THE current downturn brought about by the coronavirus pandemic has served as a "wake-up call" for countries to improve their economic resilience, and underscored the pressing need to prepare better to deal with future pandemics.
Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said this at a recent webinar as she outlined her country's plans as it prepares to host the annual Group of 20 (G20) summit in Bali in October next year.
