Japan Nov current account surplus 433b yen
[TOKYO] Japan's current account recorded a surplus for the fifth straight month in November, Ministry of Finance data showed on Tuesday, as a weak yen and income from investments overseas bolstered the balance of payments.
The surplus stood at 433.0 billion yen (US$3.7 billion), against a median forecast for 133.2 billion yen, according to a Reuters poll of economists.
In the same period a year earlier, the current account logged a deficit of 596.9 billion yen.
