Japan Opposition too divided, says Ozawa
Without a united front, the parties cannot regain control of Parliament
Tokyo
JAPAN'S opposition parties have little hope of making serious inroads into the power of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's ruling coalition because they are too divided, both internally and as a group, former political heavyweight Ichiro Ozawa predicted in Tokyo on Thursday.
Media polls this week indicating that the coalition could preserve its two-thirds majority in the lower house of Parliament "sadly may come true", said Mr Ozawa who now heads the third largest party in the lower house, the People's Life Party.
