Japanese households' financial assets accumulate to record high: BOJ data

[TOKYO] Japanese households' financial assets rose to a record 2,023 trillion yen (S$23.11 trillion) as of December last year, up 4.5 per cent from a year before, central bank data showed on Thursday.
The Bank of Japan held 530 trillion yen worth of Japanese government bonds (JGB) as of December last year, making up 43.4 per cent of the total market, according to the quarterly data on domestic flow of funds. REUTERS
