Japan's January retail sales fall 2.0% year on year

[TOKYO] Japanese retail sales fell 2.0 per cent in January from a year earlier, more than economists'median estimate of a 1.3 per cent decline, government data showed on Friday, in a sign underlying demand remains weak.
