Japan's jobless rate falls to 2.6% in March: government
[TOKYO] Japan's jobless rate fell to 2.6 per cent in March, while the availability of jobs improved from the previous month, government data showed on Friday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate compared with the median forecast of 2.9 per cent, which was also the February result.
The jobs-to-applicants ratio was 1.10, up from 1.09 in the previous month, labour ministry data showed. It was also above a Reuters poll forecast of 1.09.
