Job openings in US increased to 5.75 million in July

[WASHINGTON] Job openings in the US surged in July and the pace of hiring cooled.
The number of positions waiting to be filled jumped by 430,000 to 5.75 million from a revised 5.32 million in June, a Labor Department report showed Wednesday in Washington.
