FINANCE Minister Lawrence Wong will deliver a ministerial statement in Parliament at 3pm on Monday, the Ministry of Finance said on Wednesday.
He will outline support measures for Phase 2 and Phase 3 (Heightened Alert) and the funding approach for the measures.
This will be Mr Wong's first parliament speech since he became Finance Minister after the last Cabinet reshuffle in May. He will deliver the statement ahead of the Supplementary Supply Bill.
Mr Wong said in late May that an S$800 million support package would be rolled out to help firms and individuals affected by the Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) measures. He added that there would be no draw on past reserves to fund this package.
The full statement will be published on the Singapore Budget website (www.singaporebudget.gov.sg) after Mr Wong has delivered it.
