IN a last-ditch attempt to save a few bucks, Malaysians have gone on a buying spree ahead of the implementation of a 6 per cent Goods & Services Tax (GST) from Wednesday.
Over-flowing trolleys, empty shop shelves and mega traffic jams in shopping areas underscored the frenzied buying amid considerable confusion over the reach of the new consumption tax.
