FUNDS raised from initial public offerings (IPOs) and private debt securities from Malaysia's capital markets are expected to exceed RM90 billion (S$33.7 billion) this year. The amount comprises an estimated RM10-13 billion from IPOs and RM85 billion PDS.
The figures came on Thursday from Securities Commission chairman Ranjit Ajit Singh, who, at the launch of the regulator's 2014 annual report, noted that nearly RM91 billion had been raised through IPOs and PDS last year - the third straight year it had exceeded RM90 billion.
