Malaysia's August exports grow 21.5% on strong global demand
KL is experiencing unprecedented growth, with total trade amounting to RM1.16 trillion as at end-August, says minister

MALAYSIA'S exports expanded by slightly over a fifth or 21.5 per cent to RM82.23 billion (S$26.5 billion) in the month of August on the back of strong global demand for its manufactured goods, particularly electrical & electronic products and commodities.
Imports expanded 22.6 per cent to RM72.36 billion. Except for January and June, trade has expanded by more than 20 per cent every month so far, reaching RM1 trillion in July, two months faster than last year.
