MOH planning to update key legislation for healthcare services

THE Ministry of Health (MOH) is reviewing Singapore's key legislation for all healthcare services here to keep pace with rapid advances in medicine and health technology, new and changing modalities of services, as well as the profile and needs of the population.
Minister of State for Health Lam Pin Min said MOH is updating the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics Act (PHMCA), which was enacted in 1980 and last amended in 1999.
